ReplyDeleteAssuming that the ladder is just above water before the rising of the sea; it will take 10 hours. How far the rungs are, is inconsequential.

Doesn't matter how fast the water is rising, the ladder will never be submerged in water. As the water rises, the ship doesn't automatically start to sink, it goes up too!

ReplyDeleteSam and Sahil are both correct. With the rise in the water level, the ship will rise and thus the ladder hung on the ship too will rise.
